Matt Compton, owner and president of Performance Solutions Inc., is a Boise native who has a predisposition to all things high performance. If it has an engine and he thinks it can be made to make more power and go faster, it will. Matt comes by his love of things mechanical honestly as his highly regarded dad, Bruce, is a racer and mechanic through and through. Matt went with him to the races, both circle and drag, since he was very young and always worked with his dad prepping and servicing their race cars.

After becoming the Idaho state high school drag racing champion, Matt went to southern California to work for the legendary performance parts manufacturer, the Edelbrock Corporation in their dyno and research facility. After 10 years of working in So. Cal, marrying his wife Liana and having a beautiful daughter Casey, the siren call to come back to his roots beckoned Matt. After being employed as an automotive machinist, engine builder and dyno operator, the time and opportunity came together for Matt to open his own business. In October 2004 Matt, along with wife Liana, decided to take the giant step and opened Performance Solutions Inc. a custom engine building, dynomometer testing, vehicle preparation, and retail parts and accessories business here in Boise.

As an adjunct to business, Matt competes with his ‘79 Malibu in the Pro class bracket racing here in Boise. By adhering to strict work and life ethics, Performance Solutions Inc. and Matt have expanded their customer base at an astounding pace and will continue to grow well into the future.
